Our international Equities & Derivatives Group incorporates sales, trading and research capabilities across three broad product groups: cash equities, convertible bonds and equity derivatives.

A global service leader in the Japanese equity market, the group has grown to cover clients across the world. In five years, the business has expanded its equity platform to cover all sections, specifically across oil and gas, utilities, REITS / financials, and other sectors, with over 50 initial public and secondary offerings in 2014. In addition, our international Equities & Derivative Group provides investors with access to US, European, and Asian markets through its Corporate Access programme.

With cash equity distribution in three key regions - the Americas, EMEA and Asia - the international Equities & Derivatives Group provides corporates with easy access to equity markets around the globe. The Equity Sales teams work closely with other members of the MUFG group to develop strong contacts with the investment community and gauge investor sentiment. The business also assists corporate clients with at-the-market stock issuances and share buyback programmes, providing maximum flexibility with no minimum volume restriction.

The business provides high quality primary distribution for the Capital Markets Group as well as secondary execution on a wide variety of convertible bonds in New York. Our strength in trading is complemented by providing insightful research covering equities, economics and strategy.

In addition, the Equity Derivatives team provides both pricing and trade management capabilities for our Equity Solutions business, assisting corporate customers with their financing and hedging needs using tailored equity derivatives.

The group offers investors a comprehensive communications bridge to corporations in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia.

We do this by leveraging our strength as a part of the largest financial institution in Japan, working along with MUFG’s corporate bank, BTMU, and our other affiliates.

For U.S. Corporate Access, the New York-based Equity Team provides corporate management groups access to a unique set of investors on a global basis, focusing on U.S. mid-market investors and Asian investors, mainly across Japan and Taiwan. We provide exceptional access to the large and desirable group of Japanese institutional investors across the globe, representing the highest concentration of Japanese pension money.

The London-based Corporate Access and Investor Relations desk focuses on providing Japanese corporate executives and Investor Relations managers access to institutional investors across EMEA. The team assists Japanese corporates maintain relationships with European shareholders and establish new relationships with potential clients.
